2024 HEAT AWARDS PRESENTED AT VACP AND VSA

The Virginia State Police (VSP) Help Eliminate Auto Theft (HEAT) program presented the 2024 HEAT Awards to Virginia law enforcement agencies and officers to recognize their efforts in reducing vehicle theft and theft of vehicle parts across the Commonwealth.

First Sergeant Peter Lazear, HEAT program coordinator, presented the awards on August 26 during the Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police & Foundation (VACP) Annual Conference held in Roanoke. Senior Special Agent Shannon Pinto, VSP, presented the awards on September 24 during the Virginia Sheriffs’Association (VSA) Annual Conference held in Virginia Beach.
